Faith Benton, Ph.D
I received my BA in Psychology from Connecticut College. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for one year. I received my MA from University of Connecticut and my Master's thesis was on Medication Compliance. I received my Ph.D from UConn as well, and my doctoral thesis was entitled "Anxiety Sensitivity in Couples' Interactions."
I have worked at the UConn Mental Health Center (college mental health), Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (child welfare), CLM Behavioral Health in Derry NH (community mental health), Women's Supported Housing and Development (housing program for domestic violence survivors and low income women) in Somerville MA. My work experiences have contributed to my outlook and approach; I focus on individual growth and issues of empowerment, and I formulate a treatment plan individually created with each client. My style is warm, down to earth and I am easy to relate to. I have been in private practice since 2002 and am licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
